About the Product
zyBooks is primarily rooted in STEM: Computer Science, Programming, IT, Data Science, Math, and Engineering.
Our most popular K–12 titles are AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A, but K–12 instructors can use any zyBook in our catalog.
Each state and district has its own unique guidelines. Please reach out to your account manager for specific information.
zyBooks can be used as both, but it is most effective when used as required course materials.
Getting Started
Start by creating an instructor account at learn.zybooks.com. Once your account is set up, you’ll receive a welcome email from your account manager who will guide you through the rest of the process.

Yes, zyBooks works on Chromebooks as well as any other laptop or computer.
zyBooks requires internet access due to its high degree of interactivity, randomization, and instant feedback features.
zyBooks can integrate with any LMS that supports LTI 1.3. This includes Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, and most other major platforms.
For Teachers
zyBooks are ready to use as-is. At minimum, we recommend creating assignments for your class. You also have the option to customize your book — rearrange the table of contents, reorder sections, rename chapters, or add your own content.
The instructor view lets you see scores, progress toward completion, time spent, login activity, and much more — all in one place.
If you integrate zyBooks with your LMS, grades will sync back automatically. Otherwise, you can go to the Reporting tab within your book, download reports as a QTI file, and upload them to your LMS manually.
We host regular webinars for instructors. You can also reach out to your account manager for additional support whenever you need it.
For Students & Parents
If your book is integrated with your LMS, students sign in directly through the LMS. Otherwise, students create an account and sign in at learn.zybooks.com.
Students and instructors both access zyBooks at learn.zybooks.com. The experience is very similar for both — instructors just have a few additional controls on their side.
When you set up your class book, you indicate your start and end dates — up to one year of access.
A student’s subscription lasts for the duration you set during adoption. If a student loses access due to forgotten login information, reach out to your account manager or email support@zybooks.com for help resetting it.
Pricing & Payment
